Recycling Collection

The City of Bettendorf provides recycling collection every other week. Please remember to put recycling materials only in the blue recycling carts. Garbage goes into the garbage cart, NOT in the recycling cart. Refer to your recycling calendar for collection dates or check www.goallinqc.org.

Recycling Tips:
-All cardboard MUST be placed inside the recycling cart. Make sure the cardboard is flattened and completely inside the cart.
-Follow directions on top of the recycling cart.
-All materials must be clean and dry.
-Not plastic bags, yard waste, styrofoam, rope clothing, hangers, chains, or items with food residue are allowed.

-Set-Out recycling no later than 7:00 a.m. on collection day.

-For more information about the recycling program and what can be recycled, visit www.goallinqc.org

Cart Too Full?:

  • Flatten all cans and containers before putting them into the cart.
  • Flatten the cardboard. Place it inside the cart.
  • If you consistently overfill the cart, the city will deliver a second cart at no charge. Email Operations at  pubworks@bettendorf.org or call 563-344-4088.

Cart Placement:
Park it. Point it. Give it space.

Missed Collection:
Residents with a question regarding collection, please email pubworks@bettendorf.org or call 563-344-4088.

Moving?:
Leave the cart at the residence you are leaving. If you move to another home in Bettendorf and it doesn't have a cart, please call PW operations, 563-344-4088,  or email pubworks@bettendorf.org for a new one.

Missing or Damaged Carts:
Residents who have a missing or damaged cart should contact Bettendorf Public Works at pubworks@bettendorf.org or call 563-344-4088 for a replacement.  The cart, and its contents, are the property of the City of Bettendorf. It is against the law to remove them.
